The later harvests…

The last Foodgrains Bank harvest in Alberta this season happened at Vegreville on October 15. They were having to juggle moisture and timing, but they got it all off and, I believe, delivered.

The others that happened in October were Carstairs (two threshing machines and three teams of horses), Lacombe on October 5, Eckville (St Paul’s Presbyterian Community Project) on October 7, Leduc and District on October 8, Bonnyville on October 9, and Manning on October 11.

I know we are all thankful for pretty decent harvest weather, and at least average and sometimes better than crops. A lot of people will be helped because of the harvest and the generous work you all do.
