Q: What changes have been made to Straight Hail Insurance for 2023?
AFSC has increased the coverage clients can purchase under its Straight Hail Insurance. The high coverage limits reflect increasing commodity prices and allows clients the ability to protect their risk through the purchase of additional coverage should they choose to do so.
Additionally, changes have been made to market garden eligibility to better align with industry.
- Market gardens maximum acres has been increased from 30 to 60
- The requirement to have a minimum of three crops grown has been removed
- Strawberries are now eligible for coverage
