Q: Why was the reseeding benefit increased for 2023? 

AFSC routinely reviews its products to ensure they remain relevant to clients’ needs. Increasing input costs have led to an increase in the reseeding benefit to make it more reflective of current reseeding costs. Most crops will see increases between $2 to $4 per acre.

Q: My input costs have gone up significantly, the increase in reseeding benefit seems very modest in comparison.  How is the reseeding benefit determined?

The reseeding benefit uses a long-term average, helping ensure there is a balance between coverage provided at a reasonable cost.
