Working at AFSC
At AFSC, we're proud of our people and the work we do to help build a strong, growing and diversified agriculture and agri-food industry in Alberta. We value our team members and support the safety, well-being and growth of all our people, fostering an environment where there is belonging for all.
Our Culture
Every day, we all make a difference in the lives of producers and the agriculture industry. Our purpose – working together, we grow and sustain the agriculture industry in Alberta – guides everything we do at AFSC, regardless of what part of the organization you serve, or where you might find yourself in the province.
AFSC is striving to be a diverse, inclusive employer where each team member is valued and heard. We believe that when we empower and support one another we can achieve great things. When we look after our people, prioritizing their safety, well-being and mental health, and ensure they have the support they need, we have greater success.
Our team members are involved in shaping their experience, providing feedback through engagement surveys and Town Halls, and participating in our Health and Safety Committees, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, Culture Committee, and Employee Resource Groups. Through this involvement, team members build community and make an impact within our organization, contributing valuable improvement, learning, and social connection opportunities.
We have focused on how we work together in our values, providing associated behaviours for each value, defining how we work together and support each other. This shapes who we are as a team and builds a culture we can be proud of. Our values represent what we practice today and where we aspire to be (even better than we are now).
