A prelude to the Advancing Women in Agriculture West Conference, The Notables is an evening of celebration, recognition, and connection—honouring the women shaping Alberta’s agricultural landscape today, while recognizing the legends who paved the way.

This signature event brings together industry leaders, innovators, producers, professionals, and supporters to celebrate the AFSC Women in Ag Award recipients, alongside a broader community of inspiring women driving agriculture forward.

Emcee 

Sarah Stupar, Canada’s rural-rooted comedic voice, is a Métis comedian and storyteller whose work is grounded in rural life, culture, and connection.

In addition to her work on stage, Sarah has experience producing and hosting live shows and previously worked with Just For Laughs in Montreal, giving her a strong understanding of live event flow and audience engagement. Her humour is sharp, thoughtful, and always rooted in good faith — making her a natural guide for an evening that balances celebration, reflection, and connection.

Sarah has toured extensively across Alberta and British Columbia and regularly performs for both local and national audiences.
