As we approach the end of the year, it’s a time to pause and reflect on all we’ve accomplished and the challenges we’ve navigated together.

Agriculture in Alberta is never without its uncertainties, and this year was no exception. From varying moisture conditions across the province to the ongoing impact of tariffs, producers have navigated a complex and demanding environment. Through it all, your resilience has been nothing short of remarkable.

At AFSC, our purpose is clear: to help grow and sustain the agriculture industry in Alberta. This purpose drives every decision we make and every program and product we provide. We know that agriculture is more than an industry—it’s a way of life, and it’s the backbone of our province. That’s why we remain committed to standing alongside you, providing the products and support you need to succeed.

This year, we’ve seen firsthand the strength and adaptability of Alberta’s producers. Despite unpredictable weather and market pressures, you continue to innovate, persevere, and feed communities here at home and around the world. Your efforts help sustain not only our economy, but also the spirit of our province.

I also want to recognize the dedication of our AFSC team. Many of them are producers, and they bring that firsthand knowledge and passion to the work they do every day. Their commitment helps us deliver programs and services that meet your needs. They understand the challenges you face because they live them too.

Our progress would not be possible without the guidance and vision of our Board of Directors. Their leadership keeps us focused on what matters most—supporting Alberta’s agriculture sector today and preparing for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow.

As we look ahead to the new year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to you. Together, we will continue to build a strong, sustainable future for agriculture in Alberta.

On behalf of everyone at AFSC, thank you for your trust and partnership. We wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful holiday season and a prosperous year ahead.

Warm regards,

Darryl Kay
