Alberta’s agriculture industry is set to shine at The Notables 2025, an evening dedicated to recognizing the outstanding contributions of women shaping the sector’s future.

Hosted by Agriculture Financial Services (AFSC), this annual event blends elegance with Alberta’s deep-rooted agricultural heritage, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers for a night of celebration. Taking place on March 16, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency in Calgary, The Notables pays tribute to the resilience, dedication, and leadership of women in agriculture.

Honouring Excellence

The highlight of the evening, The Notables Awards Ceremony, will celebrate women making a difference across multiple categories, including:

  • The Operator – Recognizing hands-on agricultural excellence.
  • The Ignitor (AFSC Employee Award) – Honouring an AFSC team member driving change.
  • The Professional Leader – Celebrating industry professionals shaping the future.
  • The Promoter – Recognizing those amplifying agriculture’s voice.
  • The Community Builder – Acknowledging grassroots champions.
  • The Maverick – Honouring bold, unconventional leadership.
  • The Rising Star – Spotlighting emerging talent.
  • The Notable Lifetime Achiever – A special tribute to an individual’s enduring impact.

Entertainment and Inspiration

Adding to the evening’s excitement, guests can showcase their best fancy ranch style for a chance to win the Best Fancy Ranch Ensemble Award, judged by a special celebrity guest.

The event will also feature Canadian comedian Erica Sigurdson as emcee. She will keep the energy high and the audience entertained throughout the evening.

Capping off the celebration, keynote speaker Sarah Calhoun, founder of Red Ants Pants and a trailblazer for women in agriculture, will share her journey of entrepreneurship, community-building, and resilience, leaving attendees inspired and motivated.
