AFSC set to serve up The Dish at Ag Expo
Risk ManagementRisk management is the focus of The Dish at AgExpo in Lethbridge, hosted by Agriculture Financial Services. This special event, which takes place February 27, features Dr. Camille Ryan as keynote speaker as well as a panel discussion on real-world strategies to help producers manage risk effectively.
During her keynote, Dr. Ryan will explore the social, economic and environmental risks that are shaping the future of Canadian agriculture. A panel discussion focused on real-world strategies to help producers manage risk effectively follows the keynote presentation. Panelists include Daniel Graham, AFSC manager of AgriStability and Pricing, and Kerby Redekop from Red Earth Farming Co Ltd.
The Dish offers an opportunity for meaningful engagement between industry experts and producers. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, share experiences, and gain valuable insights – all while enjoying complimentary snacks and refreshments.

The Dish will open with a keynote presentation by Dr. Camille Ryan, senior business partner, industry affairs and sustainability at Bayer Crop Science Canada. Dr. Ryan will explore the social, economic and environmental risks that are shaping the future of Canadian agriculture.
Building on the keynote, Daniel Graham, CPA, manager of AgriStability and pricing at AFSC, will offer a practical look at how Alberta’s producers can navigate these challenges. His spotlight presentation will highlight AFSC’s business risk management (BRM) programs and the tools available to support producers.
Finally, The Dish will conclude with a panel discussion moderated by Ed Ten Hove, AFSC AgriStability coach. Producer Kerby Redekop from Red Earth Farming Co Ltd. will join Ryan and Graham for the discussion.
The Dish runs from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, February 27 in the Lakeview Salon (upstairs) of the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre, Lethbridge & District Exhibition. Pre-registration is required.
